Finding Inspiration: Sub-Snazzy’s Early Years
Born Bongani Michael Ndlebe on August 30, 1999, Sub-Snazzy is a talented hip-hop artist who has been making waves in the music industry since 2015. With his unique blend of African and Western influences, Sub-Snazzy has captivated audiences with his electrifying performances and local chart-topping hits.
The Start of a Promising Career
Sub-Snazzy’s journey into the world of music began at the age of 14, when he discovered his passion for hip-hop and rap. Inspired by artists like Lil Wayne, Drake, and Rick Ross, Sub-Snazzy began writing his own lyrics and honing his craft. By the time he was 15, he was already making waves in the local music scene.
Collaborations and Milestones: Sub-Snazzy’s Rise to Fame
In 2015, Sub-Snazzy released his first studio record, “Intwana yaseGhetto,” which was a rough start but he never gave up. Two years later, after finishing his matric, Sub-Snazzy became fully active in the music industry. He collaborated with talented musicians like Tiga Maine on a single titled “Money The Motive,” which gained him a spotlight as an artist in his hometown of Vrede, Balfour, Heidelberg, and Johannesburg.
Sub-Snazzy’s talent continued to shine in 2018 when he released his second single, “Feeling De Vibe.” The song quickly gained him a fan base and Sub-Snazzy started attending gigs and volunteering his services to establish his brand.
In 2019, Sub-Snazzy established his own brand name, Iphanta Lempilo Apparel, and dropped several hits, including “On The Road” with Mega Delight and “ZAKA & I Don’t Lie” with KB waBANA, which surpassed a milestone on YouTube.
At the end of 2020, Sub-Snazzy released his first studio extended play, “ExProjectEP,” which featured a Naija artist Lex Dee and KB waBANA. The EP consisted of 5 tracks and reached a milestone of 1,000 plays two years later with the hit single “Vula Amasango” featuring KB waBANA.
In 2021, Sub-Snazzy worked with Throne Novq Beats to release three singles titled “uMakhelwane,” “Proud,” and “Whole Time.” The latter’s music video was directed and shot by Noble Koolkat Pictures, the number one photographer in town. Sub-Snazzy also worked on the “IseGazin” music video, which was also directed and shot by Noble Koolkat Pictures.
Establishing His Brand: Iphanta Lempilo Apparel
In 2022, Sub-Snazzy focused on Iphanta Lempilo Apparel, studying the market industry and doing graphic designs. He dropped “GTI” produced by SanVi Gunz Beats and worked with Trol Salvation on a single titled “On A Jet,” which did good numbers in the first week. Later that year, Iphanta Lempilo Apparel partnered with Ilanga Labantu radio station to host a Top 30 Competition for upcoming artists, which was a huge success.
